Identification operations do not always take place at a fixed workstation. Field checks, population enrollment, KYC verification and the protection of sensitive sites require equipment that combines mobility, reliability and data security. Developed by IDEMIA, the ID Screen ONE biometric tablet meets these requirements in a compact, rugged format designed for professional use.
Integrated IDEMIA biometric technology
At the heart of the ID Screen ONE is IDEMIA’s CBM-E4 optical sensor. It delivers fast and accurate fingerprint capture with a resolution of 500 dpi and FBI PIV IQS certification. The module also supports biometric template generation, fingerprint matching, liveness detection and protection against spoofing attempts.
This all-in-one architecture enables biometric data to be processed directly within the device. A local database capable of storing up to 5,000 users facilitates offline identification and authentication operations, particularly in remote areas or when connectivity is limited.
A rugged tablet designed for field operations
The ID Screen ONE runs on Android 16 and features an 8.68-inch IPS touchscreen. Its 10,000 mAh battery supports extended assignments, while its weight of approximately 670 grams ensures excellent mobility.
With an IP65 rating, the tablet is suitable for outdoor and semi-outdoor environments and can operate at temperatures ranging from -10°C to +50°C. It also incorporates the key technologies required for mobile operations: Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, 2G, 3G and 4G networks, GPS, NFC, dual SIM, a contact smart card reader and integrated cameras. It can be used handheld, mounted on a VESA-compatible stand or equipped with a hand strap and stylus.
Multiple applications for identity verification and enrollment
The versatility of the ID Screen ONE enables it to meet the requirements of numerous applications: mobile identity checks, public safety, civil identity programs, population censuses, immigration, voter registration, social services, banking and telecom KYC, access control for critical infrastructure and on-site identification.
Thanks to its Android environment and the available software development kits, it can be integrated with business applications and larger user databases. Organizations therefore benefit from a single device combining biometrics, card reading, mobility and connectivity.
Biotime Biometrics France supports professionals with the assessment, deployment and integration of the ID Screen ONE, according to their operational constraints and required security level.
