JCB is one of IDEMIA’s partners in Asia which won the annual Asia Awards for “Cards & Electronic Payments”. Thanks to IDEMIA’s Technology.

The 5th CEPI, in Singapore, gathers all best players in cards and payments landscape in Asia-Pacific for an annual Summit and Awards. It’s an opportunity for them to share and discuss about the key industry issues faced and outline Industry innovations.

After the development of JCB Token Platform (JTP) back in 2016, IDEMIA and JCB have tightened their partnership to develop a biometric card proof of concept. The partnership uses the F.CODE card, technology which takes card payment to the next level. This technology developed by IDEMIA allows the replacement of PIN CODE by fingerprints.

Security and Privacy is enhanced with F.CODE by its unique and universal method of identification. The biometric card has a lot of advantages as better authentication, transparent payment transactions and contactless payment for high value transactions.

As a leader of augmented identity and with its expertise in the field of biometric and payments, IDEMIA has a long partnership with JCB. Both companies are looking forward to innovate and they’re really proud of what they have achieved together.

The global leader in augmented identity, Idemia, was selected by Movistar in Chile to be part of an unseen service in South America, the creation of a digital identity mobile KYC (Know Your Customer) and solutions for paperless contracts on mobile stores services.

The announcement took place on April 2019.

The Telefónica’s subsidiary in Chile, Movistar, made a great move towards Idemia, when awarding the company a contract to provide an end-to-end KYC service. The solution has the purpose to assist in-store sales people while signing new customers, both facial and digital signature will be involved. Customers in Chile will have the possibility to sign new contract electronically:

The service is basically provided by a mobile app for tablets and smartphones in which sales people from Telefónica will match the ID document with customer photos stored in a biometric database. This procedure generates though a digital identity for the customer.

The relation between the two companies started years ago, when Idemia had provided Telefónica with SIMs, over-the-air and M2M eSIM Global Subscription management platform. This new contract endorses the ongoing trust of Telefónica in Idemia.

In a long term bases, digital identity will bring a safe and secure world where shoppers will be able to do self enrollment at home in order to carry out their daily taks.

IDEMIA teams with Infineone and Pmdtechnologies to get ahead on 3D facial recognition.

The partnership seeks to develop a refined solution for systems integrators and OEMs.

The trio is specifically working on a 3D image sensor on Time-of-Flight technology. The latter analyzes how emitted light reflects off of objects in the real world. The technology will be used to enhance 3D facial recognition in LG’s newest smartphone, to be shown at MMW – Mobile World Congress, this year:

Last September IDEMIA presented its new software designed for infrared cameras, the logic here is to unify the latest hardware from Infineon and Pmdtechnologie with the cutting edge 3D Face biometric software from IDEMIA. The result of this would be a powerful solution aimed at smartphone, tablet, and PC applications as well in different areas such as smart cars.
